What’s the most exciting thing about your job?
My job is different every day and that keeps it interesting! DURABLE manufacture thousands of products with new lines introduced every few months, so that also keeps me on my toes.
Who has inspired you most in your career?
One of my first line managers was a fantastic boss – encouraging and open, he approached every day with passion and drive. He inspired me to keep pushing in my career. You’ve reminded me – I’m overdue a catch up with him!
If you were an item in a warehouse, what would you be?
A tape gun! I’m a team player and like to make sure everyone around me is supported.
What’s your favourite pastime? / Do you play a sport, follow a sport or support a team?
I love football and play in a womens team. Good old Sunday league! Keeps me fit and I’ve got a great bunch of friends there too. I’m a big Baggies fan, but watching them is often not so great for my long-term health!
Do you have any hidden talents?
I can click my tongue really loudly. Not the most impressive party trick, but it can get the attention of an entire room of people!
Who would be your favourite party guest?
I’d choose a comedian. Perhaps either Michael McIntyre or Russell Howard, because that dinner party would be an absolute ball!
What is the greatest luxury in your life?
Living in Bournemouth, I have the luxury of 10 miles of beautiful sandy beach to enjoy. On a hot summer’s day, if you know where to go and can avoid the crowds, it’s lovely.
If you won the Lottery, what would you do?
I’d pay off my own mortgage and my immediate family’s as well and organise a fantastic holiday for us all.
Then I’d look to start buying some toys – how much are ferraris? Who or what makes you laugh?
My friends – no matter how long between catch ups, we click together like we’ve never been apart.
What’s your dream holiday?
A visit to Macchu Pichu is at the top of my to-do list.
What’s your favourite music album?
That’s difficult to answer specifically because my musical tastes are so broad. I genuinely love albums ranging from Clubland to Abba Gold and everything in between.
What’s your favourite movie or Netflix series?
In terms of favourite movies I love the Back to the Future trilogy. I also enjoy movies like Ready Player One, though the book is better.
What would be your advice to someone thinking about coming into the industry (apart from “don’t do it”)?
The industry is full of fantastic people, so go out and meet as many as possible!
