IMG_2089[2][5]The daily challenge of finding new opportunities, in new markets and building relationships with new customers.

WLN – Who’s inspired you most in your career?

I know it’s a little sad to say but my mum has been my biggest inspiration. She has had a really tough decade but she keeps getting up every day with a smile on her face. And through her I have become very resilient.

WLN – If you were an item in a warehouse, what would you be?

A battery charger, because I’m always positive and full of energy.

WLN – If you had to do it all over again, what would you do different?

I did a lot of traveling before I joined TVH which gave me a great experience. So no I would not change anything.

WLN – What’s the most embarrassing thing that’s ever happened to you at work?

A completely innocent photo taken of me at Vertikal days, where a colleague then photo shopped it. It was gross but all my colleagues in the office believed it to be real photo of me!!

WLN – Who or what makes you laugh?

The Simpson’s, especially Homer Simpson. He’s me on a good day…..

WLN – Do you have any hidden talents?

In my younger days I was an aspiring rugby player until an injury, that lead to me giving up the sport. Now I have to make do with just watching!!

WLN – Who would be your favourite party guest?

Definitely Will Smith, he’s funny, he would have so many great stories to tell about fellow celebrities as he knows them all. And if things started to get a little boring he’d be awesome on sing stars on the PS3.

WLN – What is the greatest luxury in your life?

My free time as I get to spend it with friends, family, loved ones and on the odd occasion me time.

WLN – What are your three favourite movies of all time?

1st is Bad Boys, 2nd Pulp Fiction and 3rd Finding Nemo “keep on swimmin, keep on swimmin” awesome.

WLN – What is your favourite book of all time?

I really like historical fiction books written by Simon Scarrow and his eight installment of an epic saga called Centurion. They are action packed with really easy story lines which is great for me.

WLN – What’s your favourite pastime?

I enjoy keeping fit so going the gym, the cinema, and watching the number one rugby union team Saracens.

WLN – If you won the Lottery, what would you do?

Depends on how much? If we are talking about Euro millions and a healthy £50 plus million :-). I would pay all of my friend’s mortgages off. Make sure my close family never have to work again and to travel the world and live every day as if it’s my last.

WLN – What would be your advice to someone thinking about coming into the industry (apart from “don’t do it”)?

If I can do it anyone can. Don’t get me wrong I have had to work extremely hard but I’m defiantly reaping the benefits of my labours. Fortunately I am lucky enough to work for a family company who really value their employees. However I would not be where I am today without the help of my colleagues who have let me draw on their knowledge and experience. Finally, a manager who saw something in me and was prepared to take a gamble on me.
