For 18 years, Multimodal has been a cornerstone of the UK logistics industry. What began as a focused exhibition has evolved into a comprehensive platform encompassing all modes of transport and aspects of the supply chain. Over the years, the event has adapted to reflect the changing needs of the industry, incorporating new technologies, addressing emerging trends, and expanding its scope to include a wider range of exhibitors and attendees. This evolution has solidified Multimodal’s position as the UK’s premier logistics exhibition.

How would you explain the Multimodal Culture?

We strive for excellence – and through that, we are able to build the trust and respect of the industry we serve. All of the team thoroughly enjoys working in this market – the people, the challenges, the complexities – it all makes it very special. We have a very positive, inclusive and can-do attitude – and we think our customers really buy into this.

How does this culture assist your clients’ requirements?

Put simply – we always strive to do better – give our clients more insight, more news, more commercial success and more networking opportunities. We think this – coupled with superb customer service – is what our clients deserve.

Do you have direct contact with customers, and get involved developing solutions?

Always! Every day! It’s the best way to keep up to date with the market changes and challenges, and to be able to deliver an event that meets our customers’ requirements.

Tell us how Multimodal is growing in the UK.

The show is attracting more and more visitors as it provides solutions to how they get their products to market. More IT solutions, more partnerships, more sustainable solutions – it’s a vital part of shippers’ calendars. Each year, Multimodal introduces new features and initiatives to enhance the attendee experience. New for 2025 will be an AI Clinic featuring interactive sessions and personalised consultations. These clinics are an excellent opportunity for anyone interested in learning more about how AI can transform their business. Whether you have a specific AI issue or just want to understand how it can help improve your supply chain operations, the experts from Problems Solved will be on hand to provide practical advice and clear answers. We’re also working with Night Club who spotlight night workers by calling upon businesses and policy makers to address the deteriorating physical and mental health of the nation’s growing army of night shift workers. Night Club has been proven to positively impact night worker’s overall quality of sleep and improve their energy levels at work. Employers that invest in the programme are also viewed more positively by their employees. These changes can lead to better engagement, higher morale and greater productivity.

What makes Multimodal unique in your industry?

It’s the only show that covers all the modes of transport – and therefore gives visitors a unique opportunity to blend how their supply chains function. Moreover – since 2008 – we have been the only event founded on the principle of mixing modes to develop more sustainable transport solutions. A fundamental element of Multimodal is the free to attend conference sessions, which are extremely relevant to the whole multimodal community, and compiled in conjunction with the industry’s leading trade associations ensuring topics of importance to each genre are at the core of the discussions, including Logistics UK, the Cold Chain Federation, the Rail Freight Group, The Chartered Institute of Transport and Logistics, the British International Freight Association, Institute of Export and International Trade, the United Kingdom Warehousing Association, and the Road Haulage Association.

Given the recent change of administration in the US, the 2025 programme will look at how global trade might be affected by tariffs. We will also be drilling down into AI and ML and how both can be fully harnessed in the logistics world. Topics up for discussion include Donald Trump, Ukraine, the Red Sea, AI, sustainability, economic uncertainty, staff recruitment, development and retention.

Multimodal 2025 offers a unique opportunity to engage with the forefront of logistics and trade. Attendees can connect with industry leaders, gain insights into future trends, and discover innovative solutions. This event is crucial for professionals seeking to navigate the evolving logistics landscape and drive their businesses forward.
