Accelerating Outsourcing Growth

In 2024, we exhibited at seven major industry events, including Packaging Innovations, Empack and Contract Pack & Fulfilment, White Label World Expo, IFE Manufacturing, Making Pharmaceuticals, CHEMUK, London Packaging Week, and Ecommerce Expo. These exhibitions provided valuable opportunities for networking and showcasing our members’ diverse capabilities to a wider audience.

Our membership continues to expand, and we will be offering an associate membership programme in 2025 to add to our partnerships and create greater content and networking opportunities within the association. Due to increasing economic pressures and growing complexities in the supply chain, brands and retailers are increasingly turning to outsourcing as a solution. They are seeking more efficient ways to get their products to market and for the handling of their contract packing, manufacturing, and fulfilment processes, aiming to streamline operations and meet rising demands. With such a broad range of outsourcing services available as part of our network, our members are well-equipped to provide tailored solutions that meet the specific requirements of their brand customers and allow for flexible and quick outcomes.

Collaboration at the BCMPA Conference

A highlight of the last year was the BCMPA Conference, which brought together the members and industry leaders to share insights and explore the future of contract manufacturing, packing, and logistics. This marked our first conference in over six years, and it featured keynote presentations and panel discussions that provided valuable perspectives on key industry challenges and opportunities including subjects such as EPR, digitalisation, and ESG. Participation from Nestle, Tesco and Danone gave a unique perspective on the future requirements by brands on the supply chain. The event was a great success, with members not only gaining valuable insights from the content but also benefiting from expanded networking and collaborative opportunities.

Paving the Way for a Dynamic 2025

2025 marks the 25th anniversary of the BCMPA, an important milestone as we celebrate the achievements of our members and work to further raise the profile of the contract manufacturing, packing, fulfilment, and logistics industry. We will maintain our busy event calendar, staying dedicated to supporting members and promoting the benefits of outsourcing to brand owners. BCMPA members constantly demonstrate agility and adeptness, and we believe their commitment to delivering solutions, along with stronger collaboration between customers and suppliers, will undoubtedly strengthen supply chains for the future.
