We have seen a growth within the Intralogistics and warehouse sector and more recently an up turn in health care where digital innovation is proving to be a significant key area of development. Warehouse and logistics centres are keen to track the location of their fleet vehicles and goods onsite and whilst in transit
What are your most recent products and innovations?
RFID is a technology that has given many years of service to many of our customers, giving data acquisition and track and trace features that have helped our customers save costs, lost products and resources, but now we have added a new technology that utilises that RFID with ultra-wide band and GPS systems that will give real time location of objects, products or people with in any facility, locating it at height to the nearest few centimetres.
What are the major trends and developments affecting your category and your customers, and how are you responding?
Fleet management, delivery optimisation and inventory management. The ability to have that real-time visibility of vehicles and goods whilst in transit and onsite, that leads to delivery optimisation. Understanding their inventory levels and exact location within the warehouse is a big driver for our customers. The ability to monitor this from any location on any device gives the customer full control to observe the products full movement lifecycle and provides insights for better decision-making.
Can you tell us about any recent customer contracts and how you helped the customer meet their challenges?
When a customer has a bonded stock of high-end products, that are audited regularly, the ability to show on screen the exact location of the asset to 30 centimetres and give the asset its shelf life statistics and its movement around site, has helped save the customer £10000’s in personnel roaming around site costs. Reports can be generated and disseminated within minutes of request. Return on investment for such technology integration can be met in as little as 12 months.
How does business in 2024 compare to previous years? What’s your strategy for succeeding in the current climate?
Flat compared with previous years. The strategy is to work with customers and offer a consultancy service to help with process improvements around the site that can offer them an RIO.
