SAM_1835[5]WLN – What’s the most exciting thing about your job?

I enjoy working with customers to develop ideas to improve efficiency, which ultimately saves money. Every customer is unique and has different requirements and I enjoy discovering what these are.

WLN – Who inspired you most in your career?

My Dad was a marketing professional. He taught me to put the customer at the centre of everything and be passionate about what you do – if you don’t believe your product or service is the best, work somewhere else!

WLN – If you were an item in a warehouse, what would you be?

I would have to say a battery in a fork lift truck – the power house at the heart of everything!

WLN – What brought you to this industry?

It was the company rather than the industry that attracted me. Midac UK has been going for three years, so it’s very motivating to be part of a young and rapidly growing company. These are exciting times for Midac UK and I want to be part of their future.

WLN – If you had to do it all over again, what would you do different?

Hardly anything, however looking back I wish I had more confidence in my abilities. Age and experience gives you that.

WLN – What’s your favourite pastime?

Family time, playing tennis and going to gigs – I’m a big indie music fan.

WLN – What’s the most embarrassing thing that’s ever happened to you?

You’ll have to buy me a few wines before I’ll tell you that, but it involves a man in a boiler suit.

WLN – Do you have any hidden talents?

I like to think I’m a good dancer, but don’t we all?!?

WLN – Who would be your favourite party guest?

Russell Brand

WLN – What is the greatest luxury in your life?

Time in the bath!

WLN – If you won the Lottery, what would you do?

Travel the world, have a few nips and tucks and buy the house next door to George Clooney.

WLN – Who or what makes you laugh?

Eddie Izzard is my favourite comedian, however my children constantly make me laugh with their strange questions and giggling.

WLN – Do you have any secret ambitions?

To be a contestant on Strictly Come Dancing

WLN – What’s your favourite holiday destination?

Ithaca – Greek Island

WLN – What’s your favourite music album?

That is so hard. At a push, it would probably be ‘The World Won’t Listen’ by The Smiths

WLN – What’s your favourite movie?

I love most of the kid’s films like ‘How to Train a Dragon’; I also like the cheesy Richard Curtis films such as ‘Love Actually’

WLN – What’s your favourite book?

Wuthering Heights – Emily Brontë

WLN – Who or what do you detest the most?

Injustice

WLN – What would be your advice to someone thinking about coming into the industry (apart from “don’t do it”)?

Do it! The market is changing and there is a real opportunity to make a difference.
