MMCC Consultants is an independent software developer providing business management systems for back-office and mobile applications. Its service includes: consultancy to determine business needs; software development using the right blend of off-the-shelf and bespoke products for optimum functionality, efficacy and cost; and on-going system support. The company started in 1998 and is based in Milton Keynes.

What’s the most exciting thing about your job?

Delivering solutions to people and seeing them being used to run a business.

Who inspired you most in your career?

My Wife.

If you were an item in a warehouse, what would you be?

A PC.

What brought you to this industry?

I started life as an Electronics Engineer so the transition to computer software seemed a logical step.

If you had to do it all over again, what would you do different?

Start younger.

What’s your favourite pastime?

Dancing.

What’s the most embarrassing thing that’s ever happened to you?

Turning up to what we thought was a fancy dress dance dressed as Dracula only to find it had been cancelled and 50 senior citizens were playing Bingo instead.

Do you have any hidden talents?

I play the Guitar a bit.

Who would be your favourite party guest?

John Lennon.

What is the greatest luxury in your life?

Time at home.

If you won the Lottery, what would you do?

Retire.

Who or what makes you laugh?

Vic Reeves, Shooting Stars.

Do you have any secret ambitions?

To do a road trip coast to coast across the USA.

What’s your favourite holiday destination?

Caribbean.

What’s your favourite music album?

It changes every day, too many to say.

What are your favourite movies?

Star Wars & Lord of the Rings.

What’s your favourite book?

Lord of the Rings.

Who or what do you detest the most?

Snobs.

What would be your advice to someone thinking about coming into the industry (apart from “don’t do it”)?

Remember that your boss is a person too!
