de-boer-exterior-1Structure specialist De Boer has provided a fast and flexible solution for organisations seeking to expand their green activities.

With the huge growth of recycling initiatives across Europe, an ever-increasing number of companies and public bodies have been facing the challenge of sourcing suitable facilities for the storage and sorting of collected materials.

Thanks to its vast range of structure products, De Boer has been able to offer the ideal answer – with modular, semi-permanent buildings that can be erected virtually anywhere and to each client’s exact specifications.

de-boer-interior-1The move has so far offered storage solutions for products as diverse as waste paper and plastics, mineral deposits and reusable building materials. For instance, De Boer Sweden provided an All Weather Hall totalling some 5,000m2 for the storage of bio-fuels. This structure was built with a short construction period and offered low investment costs. In addition, it recently supplied an All Weather Hall measuring 35m x 70m to be used as a Recycle Sorting Centre which has proved a tremendous operational success for the local authority.

Robert Alvarez, De Boer’s Sales Director – Commercial, explained: “From major commercial organisations to individuals in our own homes, we’re all being urged to improve our green performance by making greater use of recycling. While this obviously offers potentially huge benefits for the environment, it can pose considerable logistical challenges for those organisations responsible for handling the collected items.”

He added: “Thanks to its expertise and experience in the commercial storage sector – and a vast portfolio of modular, semi-permanent buildings – De Boer has been able to respond with quick and flexible solutions that can be on any scale and with the specific features required by each organisation.”

de-boer-storage-gungeDe Boer – itself a long-time supporter of green initiatives – holds a huge stock of free-span structures, each providing potential storage space totalling thousands of square metres. Facilities also allow bespoke features such as advanced cooling and ventilation, specialist flooring and high-tech security. Structures can be created with doors as wide as eight metres, overcoming the potential access problems faced for fork-lift trucks and other vehicles trying to enter many permanent buildings.

The rapid construction and proven flexibility of De Boer’s structures have been central to their success, with the company able to have facilities on site at very short notice – irrespective of frequently challenging terrain and conditions. The robust design of structures also means they can be used for storing a broad range of materials including bio-fuels and bulk goods such as pellets, rubble, salt and other minerals.

new-logo-de-boerSturdy construction and innovative design features also mean De Boer’s temporary facilities enjoy an extremely long life-span while offering maximum protection from severe weather and other environmental concerns.
