TRILUX has successfully completed a four-year lighting modernisation project at the 17th-century Książęce Brewery in Tychy, Poland, transforming it into a future-ready logistics and production facility without compromising its architectural heritage.

Now a major distribution hub operated by Kompania Piwowarska – part of Asahi Europe & International Group – the site combines heritage value with high-output warehouse and production operations. TRILUX was tasked with upgrading outdated lighting across the site with energy-efficient LED systems that meet the demands of modern industry while respecting the site’s listed status.

A major focus of the project was improving safety and efficiency in the warehouses and production areas. TRILUX installed its flagship E-Line Next continuous-row system, known for its fast installation, durability, and high luminous efficacy. Integrated with LiveLink Premium lighting management, the system delivers significant energy savings and low maintenance costs.

In more demanding production zones, robust Nextrema and Mirona Fit luminaires were specified to withstand high temperatures and complex operational conditions. “By optimising light intensity and colour, we achieved additional energy savings and a noticeable improvement in safety,” said Tomasz Kaniewski, Head of Brewery Maintenance at Kompania Piwowarska.

Emergency lighting was upgraded throughout, and occupancy sensors were fitted in loading bays to ensure lighting is automatically adapted to activity. “The sensors detect vehicle presence and increase lighting intensity as required. Once the vehicle departs, the lighting reduces to storage mode,” explained Kamil Kasprzyk, Head of Solutions & Services CEE at TRILUX.

The lighting upgrade supports Kompania Piwowarska’s goal of achieving net zero emissions by 2030. “TRILUX proved to be the ideal partner for this project,” added Kaniewski.
