Interroll is set to showcase some of its latest material handling and automation technology when it officially opens its newly refurbished customer experience centre at its UK headquarters in Kettering on Wednesday 9 September.
The event will bring together customers, system integrators and industry partners to experience Interroll’s latest solutions in operation, including its award-winning MCP PLAY modular conveyor platform and Sortteq Modular ChainBelt Sorter MC-S.
MCP PLAY represents the latest evolution of Interroll’s established Modular Conveyor Platform, combining modular conveyor technology with a range of software and control features designed to simplify the design, installation, commissioning and operation of material handling systems.
The event will also feature the Interroll Sortteq Modular ChainBelt Sorter MC-S, a compact sorting solution designed for applications requiring throughput of between 3,000 and 8,000 items per hour. A static module of the proven Vertical Cross Belt Sorter is also on display, as we showcase the full portfolio of sorting technologies.
The MC-S has been developed to give system integrators and end-users greater flexibility when specifying automated sortation systems. Its mechanical design provides reliable and gentle handling across a wide range of items. The sorter can handle up to 8,000 items per hour, with up to 50 destinations, and is designed around a maintenance-friendly mechanical architecture intended to support high availability and minimise downtime.
Hilton Campbell, managing director at Interroll UK, said: “Our new customer experience centre gives us a great opportunity to bring customers and partners into the heart of our UK operation and demonstrate what our latest technologies can deliver in a real-world environment. In many cases, customer bring their actual products to test.”
“MCP PLAY and the MC-S represent two important areas of our current portfolio. Both have been developed with the practical needs of system integrators and end-users in mind, helping them to build efficient, flexible and reliable material handling systems.
“The customer experience centre is designed to support that relationship from the earliest stages of a project through to installation, operation and ongoing support. Having the technology here in Kettering means customers can see it, discuss applications with our team and explore what it could mean for their own operations.”
The new customer hub provides a dedicated environment for customers and partners to explore Interroll’s portfolio of conveyors, sortation technology and other material handling solutions, alongside the company’s UK service and support capabilities.
The official opening will take place on 9 September, with the Mayor of Kettering, Cllr Lauren Glanfield, conducting the ribbon-cutting ceremony.
The event will also feature presentations from Interroll’s senior technical and product management teams, followed by showroom and factory tours and opportunities for one-to-one discussions with Interroll specialists.
Headquartered in Switzerland, Interroll supplies material handling solutions to system integrators and OEMs across sectors including e-commerce, logistics, food and beverage, airports, fashion and automotive.
