In particular CEI-Bois wishes to endorse this observation made by the Commission in their communication Securing Our Future: “… bio-based materials that are sustainably sourced can not only store carbon over long periods (e.g., if wood is used as a construction material) but also replace fossil-fuel based materials….” The proven and leading low carbon building material is wood. Wood is a renewable and recyclable material and it can play an essential role in the development of a sustainable and circular economy.

B&M Retail asked Exporta to come up with a safe, effective, and visually appealing Point of Sale solution for bulky, difficult-to-stack items (Cushions, Kitchen Rolls, Firewood etc.) to eliminate the risk of these types of items falling into the aisles and becoming an obstruction or trip hazard for customers. Although this particular solution was far from groundbreaking, (pallet/retention systems have been around for decades), Exporta wanted to bring it up to date, add some extra layers of safety and give it a bit of zing. The pallet attachment swing arms were remade to give a secure fit, specific to the base unit.

It is encouraging to see the variety of innovation happening in the world of pallets.
