The Association of Pallet Networks’ latest Pallet Network report shows the sector enjoyed 8% growth against 2019. More predictable volumes are returning after the volatility of the COVID years, with half year results showing strong gains on 2019, but lower volumes than 2022. Overall demand shows remarkable resilience to inflationary pressure, while a slight reduction in quarter pallets could suggest cost-of-living pressures on B2C businesses. 2023 is shaping up as the sixth consecutive year with significant reduction in injuries at all hubs, the report found.

This year Team C Express Logistics are outlaying a seven-figure investment, significantly expanding their site and further segmenting their businesses to optimise both service performance and growth potential.

Palletline is pleased to welcome Shoreline as a new member to its expanding pallet network. Based in Thatcham, Berkshire, Shoreline is seeking to diversify its business by introducing palletised distribution as part of its portfolio. The company also specialises in the transportation of boats throughout the UK and Europe.

A family-run logistics company in Swansea is gearing up for significant growth after joining the Pallet-Track network. Hall Brothers Distribution, which also operates out of Goodwick, Pembrokeshire, is forecasting a significant increase in pallet volumes as a result of its network membership, increasing from 50-70 pallets per day to 100+ pallets per day. Improving service quality, transparency and efficiency, were the main drivers behind the company’s decision to join, however, it has also enabled its catchment area to more than double, resulting in new business leads.

A dynamic and multi-operational logistics specialist based in Scotland has become the latest member of the growing Palletforce network. JAD Trans Scotland, based in Airdrie, will cover EH postcodes for the UK’s leading palletised freight distribution network, and its recruitment is further evidence of Palletforce’s commitment to secure the top pallet network hauliers north of the border. The firm was founded in 2000 by husband-and-wife team Jim and Agata Blaber and today offers ambient and temperature-controlled storage and distribution to clients across a range of industry sectors.
