Hoppecke UK is building its team to meet increasing customer demand and support major rail projects

Of the six new appointments announced at Hoppecke’s Staffordshire hub three are additions to the warehouse team whilst the company has recruited and promoted from within to boost its engineering capability.

General Manager Stuart Browne says: “We were busier than ever in 2022 as more and more logistics businesses turned to us for preventative maintenance, so it was essential to put in place the resource to maintain high standards of customer service. Growing the team means we can do so much more to support customers around the country.”

Warehouse technician Weston Coyney has more than 10 years’ warehousing and logistics experience while Nick Hissey is new to the industry, having worked as a drayman for over 20 years. Meanwhile, after four years as a warehouse technician, Jason Harrison is now an engineer carrying out modifications to train batteries.

Daniel Thomson, formerly with the Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers, and Antonio Gallo are field service engineers. As well as maintaining existing batteries and chargers, they help customers to reduce operational costs and improve energy efficiency.

In the rail sector Hoppecke works in partnership with key rolling stock operators to develop practical, cost-effective solutions. Tayyab Mohammad, who has a Masters degree in electrical engineering, has joined the company specifically to help develop this growing side of the business.
