Any operation carrying out pallet stretch wrapping on a regular basis should consider the benefits of a powered shrink wrapping turntable, in terms of the high throughput of secure pallet wrapping that such a system can produce and reduce operator fatigue.
Pallet wrapping turntables greatly reduce pallet wrapping cycle times compared with manual wrapping and by ensuring consistent film tension and coverage, create more secure and stable pallet loads that offer greater resistance to tamperage, damage of contents and unstable loads during transit and handling.
Manual stretch wrapping puts strain on joints and muscles; a combination of the weight of the wrapping dispenser and film, the tension needed to ensure a secure result and the unnatural posture required to apply the film from floor level to above the head. If carried out over an extended period, manual wrapping can even cause musculoskeletal problems, leading to impaired productivity.
