Norfolk lighting manufacturer Fotolec Technologies has lit the way in supporting the latest warehouse expansion for Snetterton based Johnston Logistics.
Fotolec Technologies supplied its latest 255w Philips Powered High Bay LED technology with lighting controls and delivered higher than expected uniformity levels from a 12 Metre height. Using Bluetooth controls connected to a simple phone app with plug-in dongle; light levels, motion sensor and daylight harvesting settings can simply be chosen, all from the touch of a button.
Johnston Logistics provide storage and picking services for a wide range of major customers including Greene King, Asda and Broadland Wineries. The company is growing from strength to strength with another new warehouse built in the last 18 months. Set in its 130-acre site and prime location situated just off the A11, the company is extremely well positioned to service long term growth in the East of England.
Jason Pullen, Resource & Facilities Manager for Johnston Logistics, said “High quality uniform lighting within our warehouses is very important and not just from a Health & Safety perspective. What we like about the lighting design from Fotolec Technologies is their ability to tune it to our own initial requirements but leave flexibility in place to manipulate it when a different mode of lighting is required in a changing environment.
Employees spend a lot of time in our warehouses and good quality lighting plays an important role towards staff well-being.”
