Bibby Distribution & Kellogg UK

Kellogg and Bibby Distribution have a commercial relationship that stretches back over 20 years. But it is not a traditional buyer-supplier relationship as Bibby is a key part of Kellogg’s leadership team.

For example, by working together to redesign Kellogg’s management information pack, Bibby and Kellogg have developed flexible working arrangements to manage production peaks and troughs more effectively that have seen productivity levels improve by 20 per cent.

Bibby and Kellogg also worked together to organise a joint working party on fuel consumption and, as a result of its recommendations, fuel efficiency across Kellogg’s fleet has improved by 11 per cent – which equates to a saving of £60k a year and a carbon saving of 456 tonnes per annum.

Abzy Shaik, Kellogg UK’s distribution manager, comments: “Essentially, we view Bibby as part of the team tasked to deliver our supply chain goals. The on site team are constantly challenging ways of working and coming up with new ways to improve. The management information they provide is invaluable and gives us the insight we need to make positive change in the operation.”
