Leigh Brown – Edwards Transport

His colleague, Chris Green, nominated Edwards Transport’s Leigh Brown for the Warehouse Manager of the Year Award. Chris said of Leigh: “I have never come across someone with a management style like Leigh’s – he is very approachable and is like a friend to the staff. He has high standards and expects us to deliver a high level of service for all of our customers. However, while he drives us hard, he is always willing to roll his sleeves up and get stuck in within the warehouse if things are very busy.”

Graham went on to praise Leigh’s attitude towards health and safety and the well-being of his staff, his efforts to reduce Edwards’ CO2 emissions by introducing new energy efficient lighting and the training schemes he has devised and implemented which, in Graham’s words,  have enabled staff “to become stronger employees and individuals.”
