Having successfully manufactured UNI-XU® conveyor modules for over 47 years, Conveyor Units have been busy making strategic changes over the last 12 months with exciting developments involving investment in plant, buildings and personnel which has strengthened their position in the market place.
Following the liquidation of B.A. Distribution (F.K.I./Dexion), in Gainsborough and Conveyor Units’ purchase of the assets from the administrator, plans are now well underway to expand their manufacturing facility at their Worcestershire site. These plans include a commitment to servicing and supporting Gainsborough clients as well as established UNI-XU® clients.
They have recently employed the services of Jon Warrilow through his newly formed company, Engineering Innovation Consulting Ltd. Jon worked as Product Development Manager at the Gainsborough site for 15 years and his remit is to strengthen and build on Conveyor Units range of products whilst assisting in their support to B.A. Distributions’ customers.
Another new member of their team is Simon Cooper, who has joined as Sales & Marketing Manager from Itoh Denki, after spending 13 years at the Company, where he was responsible for European sales of their highly respected products.
Supplying the materials handling trade (including system integrators and OEM’s) with quality assured and pre-engineered solutions that provide system reliability for their customers, backed by excellent service, has been the corner stone of their success.
Whilst Conveyor Units experienced technical engineers can advise on modular conveyor selection, trade customers are invited to bring their customers to visit the unique state of the art Demonstration Room which houses a fully automated circuit for carton and pallet handling and a tour of their 12,000 sq.m freehold manufacturing facility. Product tests can also be arranged, whereby visitors are able to see first hand, the quality of supply and system solutions.
