pall-ex-picThe UK’s leading palletised freight network has become the first in its sector to achieve a network wide ISO 9001:2008 certification.

Pall-Ex received the initial ISO 9001 series certification in 2003 and by working closely with BM TRADA certification, they have maintained this international standard and are now the first and only pallet network to offer a joint ‘mark of quality’ for all members operating within the network.

This accolade means that all members collecting and delivering on behalf of Pall-Ex will now be covered by the quality standard.

Anand Assi, Pall-Ex projects director said: “We are thrilled to have delivered a further sector leading initiative at Pall-Ex and in doing so, we are able to offer additional value for our membership.

“This achievement clearly demonstrates our innovative ethos and emphasises the strength of each of our members in working to Pall-Ex’s operational policies and practices.

The ISO:9001:2008 certification is recognised and respected throughout the world so you can rest assured that Pall-Ex will provide the highest level of quality service, wherever your pallet is journeying to through our network, giving you confidence and security for your palletised freight distribution requirements

Our impressive list of accreditations and awards for performance, training and innovation includes the integrated management system.

This system integrates three specific management standards: IS09001:2008 for quality management, ISO14001:2004 for environmental management and OHSAS18001:2007 for health and safety management.

Pall-Ex has continued to demonstrate its commitment to improving health and safety and environmental performance. Key initiatives developed in recent years include working with the Health & Safety Executive to reduce pedestrian movements within its Hub environment; continuing to operate a cleaner, greener compressed natural gas fleet of trucks; and endorsing the design of an efficient trailer to its membership of hauliers to reduce fuel costs and environmental impact.

Pall-Ex is able to demonstrate environmental awareness and responsibility. All Pall-Ex procedures are audited to ensure the processes are safe for our people and the environment.

pall-ex-logoPall-Ex has always been at the forefront of the industry developing services such as EcoDrive the first environmentally conscious, packaging waste management removal and re-cycling facility offered by any freight company in the UK. This is concrete evidence of our determination to be at the forefront of developing new, valuable initiatives for our members and customers. “Thinking unconventionally is the key” says Adrian Russell MD. “That’s what will continue to keep Pall-Ex at the driving edge of our industry”.
