revolutionfan_ubbinkAround 50% of your energy bill is spent on heating and cooling your facilities. The Revolution Fan currently being introduced by Caljan Rite-Hite actually helps you save some of this cost, whilst improving the quality of the work environment.

Ubbink are impressed with the short return on investment

Producing low-energy, durable skylights, Ubbink naturally focus on optimal use of energy. To improve employee comfort at their warehouse facilities in the Netherlands, Ubbink have replaced three high-speed ceiling fans with just one High Volume/Low Speed Revolution Fan. The 4.88 m diameter fan keeps the temperature consistent in an area of approx. 30 x 20 metres, even in the corners. Draughts are avoided as the air is de-stratified to keep temperatures consistent from floor to ceiling. The work environment has clearly improved. However Warehouse Manager, Marcel Dibbes is particularly impressed by the savings on energy costs “the marginal effect of the high-speed fans, which was apparent only if you stood directly beneath them, didn’t equate with the high energy consumption. The investment in the Revolution Fan has proved to be really worthwile. We expect a pay-back time of just 2 years”.

Customers with production facilities are excited about the phenomenal effect

Various processes in production facilities generate heat, for example laser cutting. Customers that have installed the Revolution Fan in this type of environment comment “Our laser machines have water chillers that pump hot air out of the top. In addition, the laser machines themselves obstruct air movement. After installing the Revolution Fan, the laser operators confirmed that the air movement was 100% better than what we had before. Unlike the previous fan, this unit definitely moves more air throughout the whole facility, even eliminating the dead space directly underneath the fan. Another customer states “It’s made an instant difference for us. The amount of air it moves and its reach is just phenomenal – especially since it’s operating at the same speed as the previous fan and doing it with fewer blades.”

Safe, quick to install, virtually no maintenance

The Revolution Fan, which uses universal steel mounting brackets, is simple to install. The mounting system includes a beam clamp and four stabilizing cables from the motor housing to the ceiling.
These limit vibration and provide added safety. The hub and blades are rotationally-balanced before shipment, to ensure that they are ideally suited to the specific application. They will never need readjusing. A robust motor and extruded, precision milled aluminum hub provide reliable operation with virtually no maintenance.
