Danny, who rejoins the company after a three year hiatus, will be responsible for the day-to-day operation of the 500,000 sq ft (46,500 sq m) distribution centre site and its servicing of multiple clients. His primary focus will include the development of on site procedures utilising specific forecasting and operating tools, the introduction of ISO 9001 site accreditation and employee training and development initiatives.

“One of my aims is to ensure the Wolverhampton site plays a key role in building a strong platform that reflects the ambition of Culina to become measurably the best logistics provider in the food and drink sector,” said Danny.

Starting his logistics career with Tibbett and Britten over 14 years ago, Danny worked across the UK and America before first joining Culina in 1998. With various roles at Culina’s Market Drayton and Milton Keynes sites under his belt, he brings a wealth of experience to the Wolverhampton site.

Commenting on the appointment, Culina’s group operations director, Rien Brakel, said: “Danny will drive forward operations at Wolverhampton and develop service levels to exceed expectations of the business and customer. By maximising our capabilities we can provide even more flexible supply chain solutions.

“As we continue to expand our integrated shared user logistics services across the UK, Danny’s role will ensure our new and existing customers experience the same high level of service.”

Danny, 41, is married to Robyn and has two children, Nathan (17) and Leah (14). In his spare time he enjoys playing golf and football and following the triumphs of Manchester United.
