Thirdly: Support the mental well-being initiative:

Nairn Foster, MD and founding partner of IWLEX comments: “There’s an old adage, build it and they will come (Genesis 6-7, Hebrews 11:7,).  After years of working in exhibition for the events sector, I had become increasingly frustrated that all the events that existed weren’t inclusive enough.  By inclusive, I felt they excluded many of the organisations and stakeholders that make this great industry tick.  I also felt there weren’t fighting for diverse representation.

If I’m honest, they felt a bit tired, a bit old-fashioned.

I consulted with my contacts and the industry associations, who all encouraged me to create something new and that reflects the industry of today.

So, we created IWLEX, shaped by the industry for the industry.

It was important to us to create a PURPOSE driven event.

The industry has a terrible issue with mental health and the suicide statistics according to the National Statistics Office are worse than any other industry.

The pandemic, and now the cost-of-living crisis has exacerbated this problem.

We decided we had to do more to raise awareness about this issue, so at IWLEX we have taken the unusual step of introducing a well-being Zone focused on mental health and well-being, which is being headed up by our Well-being Ambassador Michael Maisey.

We hope the reader and the industry come together to support this initiative at IWLEX and together we can take action to help improve the situation.

So, come along, learn from the thought leaders, explore the exhibition, support the well-being zone and enjoy some lighter moments with Adrian Chiles and Peter Cann the laughter man.

We promise you a day well spent!
