A new wool insulation packaging range has launched, designed to protect chilled and temperature-sensitive shipments while reducing environmental impact. Nearly one in three cold-chain shipments in the UK face spoilage or damage. Through its development arm Green Clover Developments, Oakland International has joined forces with Cannington Enterprises to deliver a groundbreaking renewable energy facility that will underpin next-generation vertical farming, mushroom cultivation, and sustainable food manufacturing. Under the agreement, Cannington Enterprises will design, build, and operate a cutting-edge anaerobic digestion (AD) plant that transforms food waste, sourced via Oakland International, into renewable green energy, heat, and valuable by-products.
Doncaster-based Hörmann Transdek has successfully supplied and installed a Vehicle-to-Ground (V2G) lift at Next’s South Elmsall distribution centre, near Wakefield. The lift supports a newly built warehouse extension designed to meet the retailer’s growing demand for online fulfilment. Designed for modern, agile logistics, the V2G lift provides level-access loading and unloading for a full range of vehicles, from small vans to single and double-deck trailers, our loading bay feature reports.
