Indurent, a leading developer, owner and operator of industrial and logistics space across the UK, has commenced the final phase of construction at Indurent Park Longbridge near Birmingham. The c.340,000 sq ft scheme is being delivered on the former MG Rover car manufacturing site, once home to the production of iconic British vehicles including the Mini and the Austin 7.

Following planning approval in late 2025, Indurent appointed contractors in early 2026 to deliver 13 high-quality multi-let industrial and logistics units, complete with modern ancillary office space.
The start of construction marks a major milestone in the regeneration of the area, with £30 million of investment set to deliver modern industrial employment space to support jobs, skills development and long-term economic growth. Once complete, the scheme will create 590 full-time jobs, as well as 280 roles during construction, and local opportunities for training and skills.
The proposals will also enhance local infrastructure and sustainability by integrating the site with the River Rea valley walking and cycling routes and improving transport links to Birmingham and the wider West Midlands.
Designed to meet BREEAM ‘Excellent’ and EPC A standards, Indurent Park Longbridge West will provide modern, energy-efficient workspaces targeted at high-growth industries such as advanced manufacturing, logistics and distribution.
To mark the start of construction, Mayor Richard Parker joined Indurent at UKREiiF 2026 to ceremonially sign a steel beam, celebrating this significant milestone in the regeneration of the Longbridge site.
Jess Evans, Planning Director at Indurent, said: “Breaking ground at Indurent Park Longbridge represents a pivotal moment in the transformation of this site. We are proud to be bringing forward a modern, sustainable employment hub that will attract high-growth industries and create hundreds of skilled jobs in the region.”
