The organisers of Inside Warehouse Logistics Expo (IWLEX) and the newly launched YARDX – the world’s first exhibition purely focused on yard operations – have announced they will be providing two FREE world-class conferences at the co-located exhibitions at the NAEC Stoneleigh on 3-4 June 2025.

Ruth Waring at the IWLEX 2024 Conference.

This year, IWLEX and Yard Expo (YARDX) are pulling out all the stops with two free, world-class conferences that promise to redefine how industry professionals perceive and tackle their challenges. If you’re searching for actionable insights, a dash of humour, and an unforgettable learning experience, look no further. This is your chance to join a thriving community of end users, suppliers, and thought leaders eager to share their expertise and stories—some insightful, some amusing, and all designed to inspire.

Ruth Waring (FCILT) has been appointed to curate the two conferences and act as a strategic advisor on both events. Nairn Foster, MD of IWLEX, comments: “We are thrilled to be continuing our professional relationship with Ruth Waring for our 2025 events. Ruth reflects the values and vision of IWLEX perfectly. As the founder of Women in Logistics, she championed inclusion and diversity long before we were around.

She is an expert on logistics compliance, including Operator Licensing and Health and Safety, as well as ISO and the BRC Food Storage and Distribution. Her energy and knowledge are a real asset as together we reinforce the quality of what IWLEX and YARDEX deliver for the industry.”

Nairn continues: “People in logistics often operate in a silo. We are trying to create a format where, during a one or two-day visit, you can hear and learn from all aspects of Warehouse and Yard Management operations. There will be particular emphasis on health and safety, operational effectiveness, new legislative requirements, and general best practice. The focus will be on practical, real-life examples rather than theory.

Panel discussions will encourage audience questions and participation. There are already speakers confirmed from Harrods, Currys, UKWA, John Lewis, and Fortnum & Mason, to name but a few.”

What Makes IWLEX and YARDX Conferences Unique?

Practical and implementable ideas and solutions are the key drivers of the conferences, which will operate under the key theme of “All You Wanted to Know but Were Afraid to Ask.”

The IWLEX and YARDX conferences are breaking the mould by:

•Prioritising Practicality: Expect sessions designed to answer the questions you’ve been wrestling with—even the ones you’ve hesitated to ask.

•Blending Humour with Insight: Logistics and yard management don’t have to be dry subjects. These conferences feature speakers who know how to make their points stick with a touch of levity.

•Engaging Industry Leaders and End Users: From retail giants like Currys, Harrods, and John Lewis to industry associations such as UKWA, AHMSA, and RTITB, these conferences bring together an unparalleled mix of perspectives.

•Showcasing Top Suppliers: Hear from leading suppliers such as Ehrhardt Partner Group, Go Ramp, We Are Source, and Streamliner as they share their expertise and innovative solutions through practical examples of their services in action.
