The latest report on the mezzanine market by leading industry analyst, Plimsoll, reveals MiTek as the UK’s top supplier for the ninth consecutive year. With a 28% market share, MiTek’s revenue is four times that of its nearest competitors (three firms with 7% of the market each).
“This is a fantastic achievement,” says Matt Loveday, Managing Director Mezzanine, EMEA and North America, “and testament to the ambition, talent and commitment of our team.”
The Plimsoll report cites sales growth of 24% for MiTek. Specialising in the design and delivery of steel platforms that integrate with automated intralogistics systems, MiTek has experienced particular growth in mezzanines to support AutoStore systems recently.
“Projects this year include a solution for an AutoStore system for a leading workwear supplier in the UK,” explains Matt Loveday, “and another for a major fashion retailer in the Czech Republic.” Other international projects for MiTek during 2024 include mezzanine systems installed in Canada, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Poland, Spain and the USA.
Most projects on the continent are handled by MiTek’s European office, based in Cologne. The team there has grown rapidly over the past five years, delivering mezzanine solutions for a diverse range of customers including a major automotive parts supplier, a German supermarket chain, a large e-commerce business, a pharmaceutical distributor and a client in Germany’s public sector. “We are driving growth in our European operations,” says Matt Loveday, “in our quest to become the go-to supplier in Europe for the realisation of large-scale mezzanine projects.”
