DB Schenker, a leading logistics and transportation company, sought to optimise their warehouse operations in Dublin. The primary objectives were operational segregation; to divide their existing space into two distinct areas due to new contracts awarded, and address concerns related to dust and temperature control. Westgate Global recommended the implementation of Flexiwall, a tensioned fabric partition wall, to effectively segregate the warehouse and enable better control over temperature and the creation of separate areas for logistics operations.

Multi-national logistics builder GLP has completed an 587,000 square foot MPC3 at Magna Park, Northamptonshire. Eventually there will be seven warehouses on the 200-acre quarry and greenfield site. Caddick Construction has handed over St Modwen Logistics’ latest sustainable warehouse, which extends to more than 100,000 sq ft and is located in Lincoln. The £8m construction contract involved the completion of a steel portal framed warehouse, featuring ten dock levellers with an eaves height of 12.5 metres, making it the largest unit at St Modwen Park, Lincoln. Totalling 111,000 sq ft, Lincoln 111 is the fourth phase at St Modwen Park in Lincoln, a development that already has transportation links to sea and airports, as well as the A1(M) approximately seven miles away.

It’s exciting to see the wide variety of buildings solutions being constructed, helping meet the increasing demand for warehousing space.
