Leading mobility data company ABAX has announced the appointment of Emma Dyga as its new Chief Executive Officer. Dyga, an experienced leader in software-as-a-service (SaaS) solutions, will take up the role from 1 October and lead ABAX into its next phase of growth.

ABAX, founded in 2003, has grown to become one of Europe’s largest mobility data companies, building a future where mobility data serves as a catalyst for growth, innovation, and transformation. To realise this vision, they have developed a cutting-edge, open, data-agnostic smart mobility data platform that helps customers reduce costs, optimise operations, and improve sustainability, efficiency, and safety.

Dyga joins ABAX from her previous role as Chief Operating Officer at Stockholm-based MarTech and e-commerce solutions provider QNTM Group, where she helped scale the company and develop its operations. Prior to this, she served as CEO of APSIS, a digital marketing software provider.

ABAX Board Chair Nick Day expressed excitement about Dyga’s appointment, highlighting her expertise in software and technology as a valuable addition to ABAX’s growth plans. Day also thanked outgoing CEO Morten Strand for his dedication and announced that he will assume the position of Vice Chairman of the Board, focusing on mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and strategic partnerships.

Dyga herself expressed enthusiasm about joining ABAX and leading the company towards becoming a global telematics leader. She emphasised the importance of ABAX’s software platform in helping companies meet sustainability goals, mitigate risks, and improve operational efficiency.

Dyga’s appointment is set to strengthen ABAX’s position in the telematics industry and propel the company’s growth strategy.

Nick Day, Chair of the Board of ABAX, said: “We are excited to have Emma joining ABAX as CEO, to lead the company in this next phase of acceleration. Emma’s proven software and technology experience brings incredible opportunities to ABAX’s development and growth plans, as it builds on its leadership in sustainable mobility technology. As a global company with a presence in eight countries, ABAX has grown significantly from a startup to a global leader in telematics, and we have full confidence that Emma is the right leader for this role. We thank Morten for his years of dedication to the ABAX team and look forward to working with Emma in this next phase.”
