Founded in 2015 by three founders, Andrei Danescu, Oana Jinga and Adrian Negoita, Dexory is a robotics and data intelligence technology company providing the logistics industry with real-time warehouse insights. Dexory’s solution, DexoryView, unlocks insights across all levels of warehouse operations by utilising real-time data collected using autonomous robots.

Andrei Danescu, CEO and Co-founder of Dexory speaks to Warehouse & Logistics News.

What are your best-known products/solutions/services? What are your most recent product innovations?

Dexory launched DexoryView at the beginning of the year. The DexoryView solution is a one-of-its-kind platform providing access to a real-time representation of the state of warehouses. Via an intuitive, easy to access digital format fed with real-time information captured through the use of autonomous robots, Dexory helps give a quick response to warehouse operational challenges.

Which industry sectors are your customers in and which ones are growing fastest?

We work with industries that have logistics at the heart of their business. These include logistics & supply chain, as well as manufacturing logistics, but we also partner with industries such as cargo handling, retail & e-commerce and food & beverage.

E-commerce has definitely experienced unprecedented growth over the last few years. This change has amplified the industry’s need for efficient warehousing, inventory management and real- time data.

What are the major trends and developments affecting your category and your customers, and how are you responding?

The logistics industry has been pressured with growing demands and higher expectations to deliver on time, every time. Many of our customers are naturally turning to automation and digitisation. There’s a focus on visibility & real-time data to become more resilient, achieve improved efficiency and productivity, and meet customer’s needs.

Dexory is in a great position to empower customers who understand that data has great power to lead decisions, optimise processes and improve supply chain resilience.

Can you tell us about any recent customer contracts and how you helped the customer meet their challenges?

Maersk partnered with us for DexoryView’s ability to help address the issues they were facing, such as inventory management and rack occupancy. Dexory’s robots and data visualisation platform work together to help Maersk measure, track and locate goods across every logistics step, from inbound to storage to outbound.

Maerk understands there are many ways in which processes can be optimised, especially as global demand and the complexity of supply chains increases. Maersk uses our technology, removing the need for repetitive tasks and enabling staff to focus on key operations, and using space wisely and more profitably, whilst attracting and retaining employees is central. Ultimately, DexoryView allows the expansion of their capabilities and improvement in customer outcomes.

What are your plans to grow the business this year?

After the launch of our solution at the beginning of 2023, we’re now in a stage of rapid growth.

At the end of June, Dexory secured $19 million in Series A funding led by leading European VC firm Atomico, with participation from existing investors Lakestar, Kindred, Capnamic, and Maersk Growth. This Series A funding will help Dexory scale the team, our facilities and production which aligns with our strategy to expand beyond the UK, in the EU and the US markets.

What’s your strategy for succeeding in the current climate?

Part of our success is linked to the level of innovation and flexibility of our solution. DexoryView is scalable and customisable to the needs of our customers as we understand that some customers have legacy platforms and processes, which we are able to integrate into.

Are you taking part in any major trade shows? Can you tell us what you’ll be exhibiting there?

In the first half of 2024, we will be participating in Manifest and MODEX in the US. We will also be present at IntraLogisteX in the UK and LogiMat in Germany. We will be bringing our robot, and will have demonstrations of the DexoryView platform on our exhibition stands.
