What’s the most exciting thing about your job?

Working with my inspiring colleagues to ensure every warehouse in the UK and EMEA is using the best technology for improving the efficiency of their daily operations to pick, replenish bins, cycle count and ensure orders are ready for collection on time. Our task has only just begun.

If you were an item in a warehouse, what would you be?

Warehouse Optimisation Software to empower warehouse workers to maximise their time, improve their picking accuracy and enhance their ability to attain a 25% increase in their picking rates.

If you had your time again, what would you do different?

Learn more languages at school so that I could speak to Lucas’s AI-powered voice-direction software Jennifer in all 38 languages.

What’s your favourite pastime?

Playing village cricket and innovating the cricket tea rota to ensure everyone brings something different for each home match.

Do you play a sport, follow a sport or support a team?

Playing for Grayswood cricket club and following AFC Wimbledon.

What’s the most embarrassing thing that’s happened in your career?

Accidently learning that an office roof wasn’t strong enough for my light weight, and falling through.

Do you have any hidden talents?

None of my talents are hidden.

Who would be your favourite party guest?

Sir Ian Botham for a round of golf.

If you won the Lottery, what would you do?

After some appropriate charitable donations, I’d invest in some horses with the aim of winning the Champion Hurdle and Gold Cup.

Who or what makes you laugh?

My colleagues & family make me laugh. There is humour everywhere, life is short so enjoy and laugh every day.

What’s your dream holiday?

A Caribbean holiday following England’s Test match team to the West Indies when the WI team ruled world cricket.

U2 – The Joshua Tree.

Jason Bourne films

What would be your advice to someone thinking about coming into the industry (apart from “don’t do it”)?

Learn multiple disciplines so don’t solely stay in your ‘job description’ lane. Become the ‘Go To person’ for as many different roles in your business as you can.
