What’s the most exciting thing about your job?

Being amazed everyday by people and new ideas; I love helping others solve problems.

Who has inspired you most in your career?

I’ve been incredibly lucky to work with some great mentors and leaders over the years, but the most inspirational person in my personal growth was my grandfather who was an amazing story teller and full of wisdom.

If you were an item in a warehouse, what would you be?

Er… I’d probably be a shipping carton so I could explore the warehouse and then the big wide world.

If you had your time again, what would you do different?

I have no regrets in the path I’ve taken, but if I had to do it all again I would love to be a professional golfer (or more likely, a caddy!)

What’s your favourite pastime?

Going for walks and exploring with the family.

Do you play a sport, follow a sport or support a team?

I love to escape to the golf course in and around the hustle and bustle of life.

Do you have any hidden talents?

Absolutely – I am the self-professed BBQ king.

Who would be your favourite party guest?

Can I invite 3? Winston Churchill, Nikola Tesla & John Daly – would make for a great party.

What is the greatest luxury in your life?

Good coffee – as an engineer I just love how many variables there are to making the perfect coffee!

Who or what makes you laugh?

My daughter. Her laugh is so contagious.

What’s your dream holiday?

I would love a long weekend away on the International Space Station.

What’s your favourite music album?

Prodigy – The Fat of the Land.

What’s your favourite movie or Netflix series?

Jurassic Park.

What would be your advice to someone thinking about coming into the industry (apart from “don’t do it”)?

Most of us fall into this industry… my only advice is jump in with two feet, be curious, and build expertise in the areas you enjoy the most.
