UKWA is proud to be an official partner of IMHX and will again have a major presence at the event. The UKWA Pavilion will showcase members’ products and services, and provide an extensive networking area. Support for members in adopting digitalisation is a key focus for the Association. Therefore, we will be hosting two Round Table sessions on digitalisation on Tuesday 6th; ‘Digital Logistics on a Shoestring’ with the University of Cambridge will take place in the morning and is aimed at helping SMEs adapt affordable technology to introduce digitalisation into their business, without major investment or disruption to operations.

Gary Whittle, Commercial Director of Meachers Global Logistics and UKWA Board Member, who has implemented a ‘shoestring’ project alongside the team from Cambridge University, will share his experience and outcomes.

In the afternoon, Nulogy will sponsor a second UKWA session, aimed at larger organisations, discussing how to digitalise your added value services in the warehouse.

A major project for UKWA this year has been to commission a report into the viability and benefits for warehouses in implementing Solar PV. Accordingly, we will be sharing exciting news on Thursday 8th at 11am in our seminar, ‘Walking on Sunshine: how a warehouse roof can save you money and help save the planet’, where Clare Bottle will be joined by Solar Energy UK and researchers Delta-EE to present the findings of this groundbreaking study, along with its implications for future government policy.

UKWA is also a proud official partner of the government backed Generation Logistics campaign, and CEO Clare Bottle will be one of the judges for the #NextGen Awards. Winners will be announced at the Logistics Theatre at 3.30pm on Thursday.

Clare Bottle says, “Please come along to our seminar, or call by the UKWA Pavilion at IMHX to find out more about UKWA and the exciting projects we have in hand, including lobbying government to support our industry in adopting solar PV as part of the drive towards net zero. There’s plenty of advice and support available from UKWA and you can always expect a hot cup of coffee and a warm welcome. We look forward to seeing you there!”
