International warehouse management systems (WMS) specialist Indigo Software has formed a new business partnership with eXant Great Lakes (EGL). The partnership with EGL is key to Indigo Software’s expansion targets in the USA and will support long term business growth within the Great Lakes states of Michigan, Ohio and Indiana, where Indigo Software already has an installed customer base.

Regarded as the ‘Growth Engine’ and industrial heartland of North America, the Great Lakes area has large and well established manufacturing and logistics sectors. Indigo Software will be building on its existing client base within the Great Lakes area, with customers including Coastal Pet Products, an Ohio based pet products specialist which has deployed Indigo WMS at its 400,000 sq ft manufacturing site.

EGL will be supporting Indigo Software by selling the multi award-winning Indigo WMS solution and also its newly launched QuickStart Program. QuickStart has already enjoyed initial success in the UK and been designed to transform and optimise warehouse operations in record time, by offering rapid WMS deployment with a faster return on investment. The QuickStart Program provides a scalable, cloud based solution with a simple to manage, low cost and low risk subscription model.

The Great Lakes area accounts for more than 50% of all USA/Canadian bilateral border trade and sees over 200 million tons of cargo shipped annually. According to the Council of the Great Lakes region, if it were its own country, the area would generate a GDP of US$6 trillion – making it the third biggest economy in the world.

“There is great potential in the Great Lakes region for Indigo’s WMS solution, particularly in the manufacturing sector and the new QuickStart Program in particular is ideal for all the rapidly growing e-commerce companies in the area,” says Ian Dyer, President of EGL.

“We’ll be building on our early successes in the USA with this new partnership and are confident about the role EGL will play in helping us achieve our business goals. Ian Dyer has tremendous proven enterprise sales experience in North America and globally, we are very pleased to be working with him,” says Mark Leavy, CSO, Indigo Software.
