DANLERS have launched their new “ISI range” of automatic lighting controls. The controls are all PIR (passive infra-red) occupancy switches with built-in photocells – which can detect both the presence of people and the ambient light level. The products are ideal for energy-saving lighting control in warehouses, factories, offices, rest rooms and many other applications.

There are versions for ‘switching only’, and versions for dimming DALI or 0-10V lighting loads.

The products can be commissioned via a free-to-download, easy-to-use DANLERS app, for Android or iOS. The app can be used to adjust settings such as occupancy time-outs, photocell switching thresholds, photocell set-back levels and fade rates.

There are flush-mounted and surface-mounted versions for standard height ceilings, such as those found in most offices, toilets and so on. There are also versions for high bay mounting which have different detection patterns (the floor area over which they detect the presence of people moving). The narrow detection versions have a detection zone of up to 15m by 3m, based on a mounting height of 12m. This is ideal for storage aisles. The wide detection versions are ideal for open areas, with a circular detection zone of 28m diameter, based on a mounting height of 14m. The spot detection versions have a smaller circular detection zone, of up to 5m diameter, based on a mounting height of 20m. These are designed for a focused detection on a small area such as the entrance to a storage aisle.

The “Switching Only” versions can switch up to 6 amps of LED load, or 10 amps of resistive load.

The DALI dimming versions can control up to 8 DALI ballasts, and the 0-10V dimming versions can control up to 20 0-10V ballasts.

It is possible to purchase licenses to upgrade these products with additional features. One of these features is “Group Control”, where the controls can work together to control their connected loads simultaneously – as if they were wired as one circuit, but without the need for any extra physical wiring. The programming is done via the app, giving greater flexibility at minimal cost.

Another such feature is “Asset Tracking”. Appropriately tagged assets can be tracked and located within the vicinity of the ISI controls. This can be very useful for tracking and locating, for example, pallets of good within a warehouse, or important mobile testing equipment in a production factory environment.

The ISI range of products is designed and manufactured in the UK by DANLERS Limited.
