Why were our products created?
We have combined our wealth of experience in supply chains, and our need for better data to create Unipart’s Digital Enterprise System (UDES) and Unipart Dragonfly, our forecasting system. This helped us to gain competitive advantage for our smaller-scale contracts where heavy-weight systems would be too complex (e.g. too time-consuming to customise, too expensive, or too rigid to support growth). A different kind of solution was needed, whether customers were on an existing system that was not fit-for-purpose, or still using paper-and-pen.
