CooperVision eyes warehouse automation benefits with Indigo WMS

CooperVision, one of the world’s leading manufacturers of soft contact lenses, has selected Indigo WMS to overhaul the paper-based component issuing and traceability processes inside its Kent bottled solutions manufacturing complex and distribution centre. Using Indigo WMS will allow CooperVision to benefit from real-time warehouse system updates to improve stock and data accuracy levels, which in turn enhance decision making by both the manufacturing and distribution teams.

Indigo WMS will be fully integrated with CooperVision’s ERP system, giving the company a mobile, real-time supply chain management platform with advanced warehouse management capabilities. It will automate pre and post-production warehouse management, taking care of every warehouse process – from initial receipt of raw materials, put away and picking for a works order based manufacturing process, to managing the distribution and shipping of finished goods.

Global partnerships enhance WMS solution for e-commerce customers

Over the course of 2021, Indigo Software has developed partnerships with many market leading technology solution providers. These relationships help to enhance the company’s solution eco-system, to provide improved implementation and integration capabilities for Indigo WMS users.

One key partnership announced is a solution integration with DropStream, so that e-commerce providers can have a real time link between the fulfilment centre or warehouse and the e-commerce storefront – significantly improving warehouse management efficiencies. This will deliver many key benefits for users, including cutting the time spent on managing inventory, creating a better organised warehouse layout, increased productivity and cutting fulfilment time, improved stock availability communication, reductions in losses and shrinkages, improved safety standards and increased customer insights.
