Sadlers, specialists in used and redundant cardboard boxes, has surpassed a key milestone by diverting over 10 million used and surplus cardboard boxes to the reuse market within a 12 month period. Shortages of new material and sharp price increases have led to companies seeking more cost-effective packaging solutions in the form of once-used boxes. In addition, environmental concerns have pushed waste producers into more sustainable options for their used boxes.

Mike Sadler, Managing Director, said: “It’s a win-win situation for everyone; buyers get more boxes for their money and waste producers get more money for their boxes, all while reducing waste.”

The Birmingham-based family company won a prestigious recycling award earlier this year for its circular economy success and looks set to continue an upward trend in the volume of used boxes processed year-on-year.
