A fast-growing UK based technology firm is celebrating following the launch of its brand new digital platform. The cross-device platform will transform the way logistics companies engage a self-employed workforce. Wise, who creates technology for the self-employment industry and specialises in logistics has now launched its new revolutionary platform and accompanying mobile app to provide a solution for an array of long-term issues affecting the logistics industry. These issues include recruiting, onboarding and retaining staff and a variety of tax and compliance requirements.
Already supporting over 150 companies and 8,000 self-employed subcontractors on everything from managing their onboarding and compliance processes to expenses and invoicing, Wise has grown over the past twelve months from a team of eight to a team of 40 industry and technology specialists.
Over the last year, as the business has expanded, Wise has needed to fill vital development and digital design roles within the technology team. In turn, it looked to address industry-wide issues around diversity and inclusion through its recruitment. Wise has achieved this by working closely with the School of Code.
School of Code is a free digital Bootcamp that offers people of all backgrounds and positions the chance to retrain in coding and web design through an intensive, industry-focused programme. Offering a route into the exciting UK technology sector, Wise has recruited seven graduates from the bootcamp into a wide range of positions within the ever-growing development team.
