Now, more than ever, environmental sustainability is a vital topic, and here at Exporta, we understand that the environmental impact of product handling goods is an important consideration for any business. That is why we are making it easier than ever before for you to understand the effect that your Plastic Pallet has on the environment.

In the first quarter of 2021 we have introduced our new Eco Rating System for our Plastic Pallet range. This new system categorises our plastic pallets in to one of three tiers that are designed to give you full clarity on the journey your plastic pallet takes from its manufacture right through to the end of its use.

In our first tier, Eco, you can be assured that the pallet can be recycled at the end of its use, something that we are delighted to say applies to every single plastic pallet we stock.

Plastic Pallets in our Eco Plus tier can not only be recycled at the end of their use, but they are manufactured from recycled material.

In our Eco Max tier, in addition to being recyclable and made from recycled material, you will find plastic pallets that can be repaired meaning they do not have to be disposed of prematurely.

In April, we launched our new brochure and we have included our new eco tier system within. The rating for each pallet is displayed beside the product image and you can find all the ratings on our website.

Single use plastic is a hot topic right now and we are constantly striving to ensure plastic is reused. That is why over 98% of our plastic pallet range is made from recycled material. By switching to a plastic pallet, you are contributing to the direct recycling of over 250 plastic containers in many cases, containers that could have been destined to be dumped or buried. Further to the positive impact recycling plastic has, moving away from timber alternatives helps to reduce deforestation.

At Exporta we understand that it can be difficult to arrange to have your used plastic pallets recycled, so we have committed to taking care of this for our customers.

We can now recycle your old plastic pallets for you, and we take care of everything. We will arrange collection of the Pallets that need to be recycled and then take them on to our recycling partners to go through the recycling process.

The pallets are cleaned and compounded into granules so that they can then be reused to make new, recycled pallets that can last up to 10 years, then the same pallets can be recycled again for future use. While there are a lot of companies who offer to collect and recycle wooden pallets, these can only be partially recycled. By being one of the few offering full collection and recycling of plastic pallets and containers, we can help support you and your business to be more environmentally conscious and to reduce plastic waste.

Being an environmentally conscious and sustainable thinking company is just as important to us as any of our other business values. We are committed to promoting sustainability from within our offices right through to the products we provide our customers. Once again we have received our ISO14001 accreditation.

Of course, there are many other benefits that come with switching to plastic pallets. Our team of experts are on hand to discuss your pallet operation with you and to offer advice and guidance on the best options to increase efficiency and to save you money. Get in touch with Exporta today and let us take the load off your back.
