The last year has witnessed an unparalleled growth in online shopping and greater demand for companies to offer peerless delivery options. This progress seems very likely to continue throughout 2021. Providing a facility with security roller shutter doors doesn’t mean compromising on vision and airflow into a premises. Perforated roller shutters give the required visibility when closed, provide air circulation, and present a more aesthetically pleasing effect than a completely solid shutter which make these shutters ideal for retail or commercial premises such as shopping centres, car parks and arenas. A pair of Union Industries’ Bulldoors installed at pharmaceutical company Pharmaron UK 21 years ago are living up to their reputation as the ‘doors that last a lifetime’. Leeds-based Union Industries manufactured, supplied, and installed the doors before the millennium at the 473,000 sq ft facility, which handles fully integrated, end-to-end, high quality services in active pharmaceutical ingredients (API), the chemicals which form the active ingredients in medication, drug product development and manufacturing. Union Industries labels the Bulldoor the ‘reliable workhorse’ of rapid roll doors and the door that ‘just keeps going and going’.

While the Safety at Work regulations do not specify a set number of times that industrial doors and loading technology should be serviced, it is recommended that servicing should take place at least twice a year, and more often in high usage areas.
