Even before the much talked about lockdown related rise in alcohol consumption Lauralu UK, designer, manufacturer and installer of temporary buildings had been contracted by Beerhawk to supply a large loading bay (25m x 50m on a 5m height leg) at their West Yorkshire distribution hub. The craft beer distributor holds huge stocks of beer from large and small brewers ranging from kegs, to mixed cases, monthly subscription boxes and gift packs – everything possible for the beer lovers out there.

As soon as lockdown eased Lauralu was on site installing the 1,250sqm loading bay which is now already in use by Beerhawk to assist them with loading in their yard; keeping stocks and personnel dry. Cameron Dickson, Lauralu Project Manager for the Beerhawk job comments “Our loading bay solution really is one of the best in the marketplace, the loading bay canopies are not a secondary product to our temporary buildings, they have the same high quality aluminium frames, less intrusive bracing allowing taller vehicles to drive underneath the canopies unimpeded and the clad gables are much more aesthetically pleasing.”

Lauralu UK are pioneers of a rapid install loading bay solution, they have an extensive choice of temporary or permanent loading bays and can design bespoke layouts and sizing where required.

Their loading bay solutions provide an efficient and cost-effective alternative to conventional logistical buildings – an ideal choice for those who want to quickly expand their operations without breaking the bank. They have a much lower capital cost and a much shorter construction timescale than traditional steel or brick structures. The aluminium frames are guaranteed for 10 years, but in fact can withstand many more years, offering a great long term solution.
