Lancashire-based Alison Handling has reached the finals of this year’s coveted Business Masters Awards in three categories.

The firm, which is UK’s largest independent stockist of new and used recycled plastic storage boxes, trays, skips, totes and pallets is a finalist in the Small Business Award as well as the Best Investment Award. They have also been announced as finalist in the category showcasing Best Innovation for its award-winning A-Link Dolly product which is a rack to shelf solution, cutting the need for cage trolleys and improving inefficient storage systems.

The annual Business Masters Awards honour businesses across the North West recognised for their outstanding achievements and winners will be announced in March.

Entry forms were critiqued and judged by a leading panel which included Emma Degg, chief executive at the North West Business Leadership Team, Damian Waters, North West director of the CBI, Claire Smith head of business development at Moneypenny and Paul Griffiths, chairman of the Gorton Monastery Trust and the Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Greater Manchester.

Mike Ribbeck, from the Business Masters Awards said: “We were overwhelmed by the quality and quantity of entries for this year’s awards. The judges had some very tough decisions to make over the shortlist, as the competition was extremely high.

Winners of the prestigious awards will be announced at a black-tie awards dinner on Thursday, March 5th, at the Hilton Deansgate, Manchester.
