For Goplasticpallets.com December has always been an important month. It’s a time when the whole team come together to reflect on the year that’s past to celebrate achievements and to prepare for the year ahead.

A major highlight for Goplasticpallets.com this year was launching its Responsibility policy and recycling scheme. As the first company in its sector to commit to recovering and recycling each and every plastic pallet and box it supplies to customers, this demonstrated that Goplasticpallets.com was placing sustainability at the top of its agenda. And quite rightly so, since launching the scheme, the company has recycled a tremendous 223 tonnes of customers’ plastic waste!

Goplasticpallets.com was also awarded the title of Plastic Free Champion by its local chamber of commerce for its exceptional commitment to the environment. This included among other things donating recycling-themed books and teaching resources to Eastbourne’s 22 state primary schools, removing all plastic water cups and laminated pouches from use, recycling all ink cartridges and batteries, as well as switching to hybrid cars and installing an electric charging port in the office carpark.

Recycling aside, 2019 has been another year of positive growth for Goplasticpallets.com. The internal sales team has grown by three and Esther Bussell was appointed as Key Account Sales Manager in October, bringing with her 13 years’ experience in the pallet industry and increasing the headcount to 29.

In September, Goplasticpallets.com had a big presence at the UK’s largest intralogistics show IMHX, where the team launched its online platform for signing up to the company’s recycling scheme. The show attracted some 462 exhibitors and 16,239 visitors – 90% of whom influence or make the purchasing decision, which generated a good level of quality leads. The company also exhibited at Fruit Focus for the third time and made its debut at Viti-Culture, the event for the UK viticulture industry.

Goplasticpallets.com continues to pride itself on supplying the largest range of plastic pallets available in Europe as well as a comprehensive range of plastic pallet boxes and smaller containers, and this year saw the introduction of several new products to the range.

At the beginning of the year Goplasticpallets.com unveiled a new, improved version of its multi-trip pallet box – the Trip Box Ultimate, promising to deliver superior strength, better security and enhanced performance for large volume goods handling and distribution. This was followed in the spring by the launch of a selection of multi-use, bi-coloured harvest crates ideal for grape harvesting and storage – the GoS&N 64200 range. Most recently, Goplasticpallets.com introduced the GoFLC 960 – a new, multi-purpose folding pallet container, believed to be THE most robust product of its kind available on the market.

The ‘can do’ attitude of the team at Goplasticpallets.com remains one of the company’s assets and explains why they continue to supply such a diverse range of clients, across so many sectors. Some of the more unusual applications the company’s products have been used for this year include plastic pallets for nesting ospreys, plastic pallet boxes for storing fishing gear, and plastic pallet containers for storing everything from giraffe feed to Christmas decorations!

In general, business in 2019 has remained strong for Goplasticpallets.com. The main growth areas have remained the food and drink, retail and engineering sectors, where investment in automated systems is helping drive the shift away from traditional wooden pallets to durable, consistent and sustainable plastic ones.
