Leeds based, Warehouse Systems Limited is now a well-known brand within the Warehouse and Storage Industry. With a recognised name for quality and design, WSL assist their clients who range from large enterprises to new start ups by providing bespoke solution to assist the production and inventory flow of their facilities. WSL design, manufacture and install storage solutions including racking, shelving and mezzanine floors which meet the specific requirements of each individual site.

When the company first started trading in 1989, they sourced racking and shelving to businesses throughout the North East, with the first major turnkey project (from design to complete installation) being commissioned in 1992 by a large Bradford based company, to replace all the storage following a warehouse fire.

The following decade saw WSL being commissioned for work by increasing numbers of national and international companies, resulting in relocating to bigger premises in 1994 and then again in 2003. WSL not only survived the recession of the 2000’s – but expanded once again – opening a brand-new factory in 2008, in order to be able to manufacture their own high-quality mezzanine floors.

WSL has always been an industry leader in terms of accreditations and qualifications. They achieved their first CE1090 certificate in 2015 and have successfully retained the certification every subsequent year. They also became full members of the Storage Equipment Manufacturers Association (SEMA) in 2017; the first manufacturer to be both full members of SEMA while also holding the CE1090 certification. As members of SEMA, WSL are involved in the informing of regulations regarding best practice in the industry. They pride themselves on being ahead of the curve in terms of staff training and development.

After twelve years at Albion business Park, WSL outgrew their top specification Leeds based factory and offices resulting in yet another move to much larger premises in recent weeks. The company purchased industrial space of almost 30,000 sq ft to accommodate their growing team and allow them to expand their manufacturing operations with the view of introducing new products. Coinciding with their 30th birthday this is the fifth home for WSL having expanded from a start-up business in 1989, to the national brand it is today. With lots of exciting new projects, new international clients and a larger factory, the next few years appear to hold as many opportunities as the past thirty. Happy Birthday WSL!
