Spaciotempo is helping businesses to buck the national trend by boosting profits and productivity despite the ongoing uncertainty sparked by Brexit. Companies that have joined forces with the UK’s leading provider of temporary buildings have been reaping the benefits and reporting a rise in orders.

While many businesses are reluctant to make large capital investments on a new permanent facility, Spaciotempo’s offering provides the perfect solution. The cost-effective structures are quick and hassle-free to erect, meaning customers can begin manufacturing or moving goods in to storage almost immediately, allowing additional contracts to be taken on.

Divisional Director at Spaciotempo John Drake said: “Businesses can’t afford to stand still, they need to constantly move forward and develop if they are going to survive in tough market conditions. However, with the seemingly ever-present issue of Brexit looming large, there has been a real reluctance among companies to invest in new permanent facilities due to large up-front costs.

“That is where our temporary buildings come to the fore. They give businesses the space they need to expand without tying them into long and costly repayment contracts. On average, Spaciotempo’s high-quality facilities cost an incredible 70 per cent less than permanent buildings.

“They are also quick and hasslefree to install, taking one third of the time to erect compared to permanent structures and, on top of this, they can be expanded or contracted in-line with customer demand, meaning neither time or space are wasted.”

Scania in Preston is one of many businesses which was able to grow thanks to the installation of a Spaciotempo building. The dealership had experienced a boom in business, meaning it urgently required additional workshop space to repair and service vehicles.

It contacted Spaciotempo after its sister dealership in Widnes had highly recommended the temporary buildings supplier.

Sales Manager Dan Barker carried out a site survey and recommended a 10m wide x 15m long facility with an eave height of 6m.

To ensure team members were kept warm, the dealership opted for a thermo roof and gable with a 50mm rock wall for added insulation.

The 150sqm Neivalu building features two electric roller shutter doors to allow heavy goods vehicles to be driven in and one personnel exit door. It also has four bright 90W LED lights.

Scania Preston Depot Manager Wayne Atherton said: “It was essential to the expansion of the business that we had an overflow workshop to cater for the increasing number of customers we are serving and to enable us to take on even more jobs.

“Due to the colder weather, we needed somewhere that was warm and dry to create a positive work environment for our staff as well as to keep the vehicles and parts dry. We have added an inspection pit and the lights installed by Spaciotempo are more than bright enough to enable the mechanics to carry out the repairs. The installation process was smooth and quick, so we were up and running in no time.”

Spaciotempo’s buildings come in three styles – Neivalu, TempAstor and the new Oxygen range. The Neivalu is custom-built and perfect for bespoke projects. It is available in 5m-30m widths, unlimited lengths and up to an 8m eave height.

It is built to last, boasting an anodised aluminium frame and galvanized steel fixings.

The TempAstor is the ideal solution for a more off-the-shelf application. The buildings can be ordered, delivered and installed within 48 hours and feature a 10-year guarantee as standard.

Finally, the Oxygen is a bold new alternative, characterised by its stylish, aesthetically pleasing curved roof.
