The benefits of customised materials handling solutions will be up for discussion at the world’s leading exhibition for the automotive supply chain and aftermarket.

100372Briggs Equipment will be joining the debate at Automechanika, which is being held in the UK for the first time and takes place at the NEC, Birmingham from June 7-9.

The event provides industry professionals with an opportunity to access the latest products and services available to the automotive sector and gain insight into its future.

Briggs is exhibiting in association with the North East Automotive Alliance (NEAA) and will be on stand G21B in Hall 9 alongside other members of the organisation. Established to support the economic sustainable growth of the automotive sector in the North East of England, the NEAA provides a single unified voice to key stakeholder groups and promotes the true value created by the North East’s Automotive sector.

Les Knight, Regional Sales Director at Briggs Equipment, says: “Materials handling is a key function within any manufacturing operation, but the adoption of Just In Time or Just In Sequence processes, plus increased use of tow tractors and trailers, means that asset management is critical for complex automotive businesses.

“We are delighted to be exhibiting in conjunction with the North East Automotive Alliance and look forward to discussing the challenges faced within this industry as well as drawing on our wide automotive industry experience.”

Briggs, along with its equipment manufacturing partner Yale, has built a strong reputation for understanding the logistics requirements of a particular assembly line before tailoring a complete solution that will facilitate the safe and efficient movement of goods.

Automechanika provides an excellent opportunity for businesses operating within the automotive sector to identify new products, source new service providers and reinforce existing supplier relationships. The technical seminar programme will cover topical issues and developments and there will be a series of keynote presentations, case studies and panel discussions to highlight the issues that are most likely to impact on the UK’s automotive industry.

Visitors to Automechanika are invited to stop by the NEAA stand, G21B in Hall 9, and talk to the Briggs Equipment team about materials handling solutions for the automotive aftermarket and supply chain.
