Jungheinrich has announced that it has won the contract to provide the handling systems for IKEA Russia’s new distribution centre.

PI_32_2015_FP_FotoA 45 metre high, high-bay warehouse measuring 200 metres in length and 130 metres in width, the store will offer a total of 210,000 pallet locations.

Jungheinrich group will act as general contractor for all intralogistics equipment installed at the new DC – which is located 50 kilometres north-west of Moscow – while also performing the role of systems integrator.

It is the biggest individual project ever undertaken by Jungheinrich and is due to be completed in 2017.
