The RapidShield™ formulation produces a resin film which hardens and dries instantly when exposed to UV light, creating a strong, durable bond to the substrate. The burst of UV rays not only dries, but completely cures the system, enabling the treated area to open to high volumes of traffic within minutes. Parallel working can continue alongside the installation, further minimising disruption to business activities, and the strong resin finish means that chemicals, dyes, dirt and tyre marks can easily be cleaned away, providing clients with an advanced, innovative and cost-effective solution to the protection and maintenance of their concrete floors throughout the installation and working life of the product.
Unlike epoxy solutions, RapidShield™ does not suffer from UV degradation and – once cured – the area can be exposed to direct sunlight without detriment to its colour or visual appearance. It is also much safer to install, containing no solvents or isocyanates and complying with all the latest VOC (volatile organic compound) and HAP (hazardous air pollutant) regulations.
