Hörmann has introduced two new high speed doors for the logistics industry, the Speed sectional HS 5015 and HS 6015.  These doors have been developed to offer an alternative to the high speed spiral door for when fitting space is limited, particularly in the lintel area.

The new Speed sectional insulated doors work with a chain mechanism and spring compensation to give the high speed performance in a door that runs in a horizontal track. Insulation is delivered through the proven double skinned door panels with rigid PU foam infill.

Only 480 mm of headroom is required for the HS 5015 PU N version for a door up to 5 x 5 metres. In order to fit around pipe work and cabling, a high lift, adjustable speed option has also been developed, designated HS 5015 PU H. This option can be up to 5 x 6 metres and features a belt mechanism with counter weights that ensures gentle door travel, minimising wear and extending the lifespan.

The same mechanism is used with the larger HS6015 (up to 6.5 x 6 metres) which has been developed for high buildings or passages. These doors operate quietly and smoothly and to further extend their service life, the automatic operator features Hörmann’s soft-start and soft-stop technology.

The award winning Hörmann Light Grille non-contact safety device is included as standard with these high speed doors. Incorporated into the door frame the door opening is constantly monitored to a height of 2.5m, practically eliminating the risk of collision with pedestrians or lift trucks.
