There is no doubt that the storage and materials handling market loves ‘buzzwords’ and jargon. But sometimes frequently repeated phrases can lose their meaning. Take, for example, ‘partner’ or ‘partnership’, writes Tim Judge, RediRack’s National Sales Manager.

In my experience, too many companies play the ‘partnership’ card as part of their sales message and, in truth, have little grasp of what is really required to make a business partnership mutually rewarding for all parties in the relationship.

But, I’m pleased to say that, at RediRack, our distributor partners have always formed a key part of our business, and, as a result, we feel fully justified in saying that our ‘partnership approach’ works.

Over the years RediRack has always had a very strong, loyal and capable group of distributor partners who sell the RediRack product range the logistics industry – from international conglomerates to the local firm with a start-up unit on a trading estate and everybody in between.

We have always strived to ensure that our distributors know how important they are to us and when RediRack recently undertook a review of its business model, we decided that we wanted to make an even more significant commitment to our relationship with our distributor partners.

So we devised the RediRack Approved Partner scheme – an exciting new offering to help our dealers leverage more from RediRack’s strong, consistent brand and product range and, ultimately, win more business.

RediRack’s Approved Partner scheme was developed to assist our distributors in all sorts of ways. For example Approved Partners have access to expert help and advice on recruitment, marketing literature and advertising and human resources issues.

They are given consistent discount arrangements, as well as a Project Registration scheme. They are able to take advantage of the chance to have accompanied visits with their customers to a host of RediRack sites and, of course, they have the comfort of knowing that they have the full technical backing of RediRack’s team of highly experienced engineers.

We introduced the scheme at this year’s IMHX exhibition in Birmingham, where it was well received and RediRack now has Approved Partners across the UK and Europe who are all enjoying the commercial benefits that the scheme brings.

Since ‘signing up’ our Approved Partners we have seen sales rise and customer satisfaction improve while service levels are at an all time high.

So, when it comes to RediRack’s relationship with its Approved Partners, the word ‘partner’ has real meaning. It isn’t a worn out cliché – it is two parties working together with the same aim. And that’s good for both partners.
